Information - Replenishment Orders

An introduction to the Premier EPOS Replenishment Orders.

Introduction

Premier EPOS software can automatically generate Replenishment Orders based on various criteria, adding the required stock when you create the order.

The software has 4 methods of generating Replenishment Orders. Below is brief explanation of each order type, for further information on creating, sending and processing order, please see our guide, How To Guide - Replenishment Orders (Under Construction).

Replenishment Orders Types

Blank Order

This type of Replenishment Order is the most basic method available in the Premier EPOS software. It allows users to manually decide on the specific quantities of each product they wish to order without any pre-set parameters. This order type is particularly useful for customising stock levels based on special sales strategies, one-off events, or when precise control over inventory is needed. Users have complete freedom to review and adjust product quantities as required before finalising the order.

Minimum / Maximum

This type of Replenishment Order automates the replenishment process by maintaining stock levels between predefined minimum and maximum thresholds. When stock levels fall below the specified minimum, an order is automatically triggered to replenish the inventory up to the maximum level. This approach helps in maintaining optimal stock levels, reducing the risk of overstocking or under-stocking, and ensuring that products are readily available to meet customer demand. It is ideal for routine resupply of frequently sold items, streamlining inventory management with minimal manual intervention.

Previous Sales

This type of Replenishment Order derives order quantities by analysing past sales data. By leveraging historical sales patterns, the system forecasts future demand and optimally adjusts reordering levels. This method is particularly advantageous when managing consumable goods or seasonal products where demand varies over time. It minimises manual input while helping to ensure adequate stock levels to meet anticipated customer needs, reducing the likelihood of both missing and excess inventory.

Based on Previous Order

This Replenishment Order type allows you to duplicate a previous order. By selecting an existing order in the Replenishment Order section, you can create a new copy, maintaining the same products and quantities on order. This is ideal for regularly ordering items from the same supplier, were there is minimal differences in the order each week.
